Humane Society of Silicon Valley | Pet Photography

When the HSSV (Humane Society of Silicon Valley) first approached us about doing a session for them we were so excited as we are fellow pet lovers too. They were wanting to capture photos of the staff with some of the animals that call the shelter their home. The HSSV is a non-profit organization located here in the Silicon Valley that offers a home to homeless or abused animals while they wait to be adopted. Because it is a non-profit organization it relies heavily on donations to thrive. Thanks to private funding the HSSV had recently undergone huge changes to their facility allowing them to make major renovations to their “campus”. On the “campus” there is a shelter, a pet store, parks where they offer training, as well as grooming and medical services for the animals. I’m not so sure I’d ever let my dogs see this place – they just might want to move in! It is really a beautiful, upbeat setting. The organization also offers classes and summer camps to the youth as well as adults, in hopes to teach them the importance of animal care and all the various aspects involved in owning/adopting an animal. We have always known that facilites like this existed but it wasn’t until we got the chance to go there and experience first hand the compassion and dedication this organization and all the staff have for animals that we realized just how important it is in a community. The work these wonderful people do is amazing and it’s so great they are willing to spend their lives dedicated to caring for animals in any way possible.

I love these! I adopted my dog from there. I may just bring her into your studio some day 🙂
